Brooke and Samuel's story began in 2017 when fate (and Bumble!) brought them together in College Station. Brooke, in her last semester of undergrad, and Samuel, a recent graduate who frequently visited his friends still in town, matched on the app. Despite both attending the same college, their paths never crossed—until the algorithm did its magic. They met in person on December 1, 2017, and have been inseparable ever since. In August 2023, while on a romantic vacation in Maui, Hawaii, Samuel had a ring ready but no specific plan for the proposal. He patiently waited for the right moment, with several close calls throughout the trip (including a near proposal while snorkeling!). The perfect moment arrived after a sunset dinner on the beach. As they strolled along the shore, Samuel pointed out something on Brooke's foot. Expecting to see some sand or seaweed, she looked down—only to find him on one knee with a ring in hand. The couple embraced a fresh and elegant color palette of light blue and white with pops of spring colors . Their wedding theme was inspired by a European spring garden party , creating a timeless, romantic, and serene atmosphere. Brooke and Samuel’s wedding was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments and stylish touches. The simplicity and beauty of the Camp Hosea chapel, contrasted with the modern elegance of the reception hall, provided the ideal backdrop. From the moment the bridal party arrived at the venue, Brooke’s mother and sister—who had been instrumental in planning the details—ensured everything went smoothly. Highlights included the sweet, sentimental ceremony, where Brooke wore her grandmother’s diamond necklace, and the fun-filled reception, where guests enjoyed custom Mardi Gras beads designed by the bride and her sister. The wedding planner, Perfectly Planned , kept the day running seamlessly, while Everwild Floral added breathtaking floral arrangements to bring the European garden vibe to life. A standout moment from the day was when Samuel surprised Brooke with a late-night snack from Mi Familia Coco Loco, her favorite spot. The couple also handed out custom Mardi Gras beads , a nod to their shared love for the celebration and designed by Brooke’s sister Alyssa, a creative director based in New York. The hand-picked details and personal touches added warmth and meaning to the couple's magical day. The beauty and serenity of Camp Hosea won Brooke’s heart from the start. She loved the simplicity of the chapel and the contrast with the modern reception hall. What sealed the deal, though, was the peacefulness of the venue —Brooke wanted a location that not only looked beautiful but also provided a sense of tranquility for their big day. The bridal suite was an added bonus, offering the perfect space for the bridal party to relax and get ready.
