Emily & Lane's Classic Country Wedding

Emily and Lane’s journey began in Spring 2021 on a Christian dating app, both intrigued by an ad on social media and curious enough to give it a try. They soon matched and began dating long-distance, discovering they had Texas A&M and the College Station area in common, making it the perfect location for their first date. Over time, College Station became even more special, as it became a place they would return to for celebrations and milestones.

For their two-year anniversary, Lane planned a dinner in College Station, but he had an even bigger surprise in store. When Emily arrived at his apartment, Lane greeted her on one knee, catching her completely off guard. Although she had suspected a proposal might happen in College Station, Lane's sweet and intimate approach still managed to surprise her in the best way possible.

Emily and Lane’s wedding was decorated with dusty blues, tan, beige neutrals, and pops of pink and peach for a vibrant but subtle touch. Combining classic elegance with a hint of rustic country style, the wedding decor reflected both their personalities.

Emily’s decor was a perfect mix of her love for flowers and classic style, while Lane’s country flair was subtly incorporated through cowboy hats and a neon sign. Together, the elements created a beautifully personal and cohesive look that reflected their personalities.

Their wedding day was a dream come true, shared with the people they love most. From start to finish, the day was filled with joy and peace as they celebrated not only their love story but also the journey God had prepared for them. Emily cherishes memories of moments with her family and friends, from her first look with her dad to the accidental peek of Lane during their “first touch.”

The reception was a true celebration, highlighted by their beautiful cakes, surprise birthday cakes for two best friends, and the lively country dance party. A standout moment was seeing Emily's 91-year-old grandpa join the dance floor with his walker, bringing joy to everyone around him. As the couple left Camp Hosea to start their new life, they turned on the radio in Lane’s truck to hear their first dance song, perfectly capping off a magical night.

Emily always dreamed of marrying in a classic chapel, and when she found Camp Hosea, she knew it was “the one.” Its location near College Station, the place where their relationship blossomed, made it all the more meaningful. The peaceful landscape and serene atmosphere created an unforgettable experience!
