Katherine and Tom’s story began during an internship in Houston. They met on the very first day in the parking garage and walked up to the office together, instantly becoming close friends. Katherine found comfort in having a familiar face as she started the internship. After the summer, Katherine returned to College Station to finish her last semester of grad school at A&M, while Tom went back to Fayetteville to complete his last year at Arkansas. Their friendship grew even stronger when they both got hired full-time at the company they interned for, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Frequent walks around Houston and cooking together turned their friendship into something more.
Tom proposed to Katherine at her parent's lake house in March 2023. The dock, where they had shared their first kiss, was the perfect spot for Tom to get down on one knee. After Katherine said yes, their families surprised them by coming out of the house!! They celebrated with dinner that night and were welcomed home by their best friends for a surprise engagement party.
Katherine and Tom chose Camp Hosea because growing up in College Station, Katherine knew she wanted to get married there! Once they saw Camp Hosea, they knew it was perfect. They fell in love with the chapel, outdoor patio, reception space with its large window, bridal and groom’s suites, and the beautiful pond setting.
Their wedding vision featured a color scheme of light blue, gold, and white, creating a classic and elegant atmosphere.
One of the most special moments was their private last dance to "Starting Over" by Chris Stapleton. This intimate moment was a beautiful way to end their wedding day. Katherine and Tom's wedding featured many personalized touches:
1. Decor Design: Stamped Paper Company helped design their monogram, invitations, napkins, all paper goods, signage, seating chart, ceremony booklet, and the "Happily Weber After" sign on the rose wall.
2. Champagne Cart: Katherine’s dad and a friend crafted a champagne cart for the cocktail hour.
3. Ring Bearer Wagon: A younger ring bearer was pulled in a light blue wagon during the ceremony.
4. Bridal Bouquet Cameo: Katherine's great aunt gifted her great grandmother's cameo to attach to her bouquet.
5. Tux Jacket Handkerchief: Tom carried his grandfather's handkerchief and a tootsie roll, honoring his memory.
Katherine and Tom appreciated that their entire wedding could be held at Camp Hosea without needing additional transportation. The bridal and groom’s suites were ideal for getting ready and spending time with their wedding party. The large windows in the reception hall provided stunning views during the day and a magical ambiance at night with the candles and lights.
Katherine and Tom’s wedding at Camp Hosea was a day filled with love, family, and special moments! Camp Hosea was thrilled to host their beautiful wedding and looks forward to creating many more unforgettable memories for other couples.
