Lauren & Reagan's Wedding | Camp Hosea Couples

For Lauren and Reagan, their love story began in an unexpected way: at the Texas High School Coaching Association convention. Both teachers and coaches, their worlds collided when they happened to meet through mutual friends one night at Coyote Ugly. As they talked, Lauren and Reagan realized they shared a special connection—Bailey Layne, Reagan's first cousin and Lauren's lifelong friend. Having grown up attending birthday and graduation parties together, it felt like fate had finally brought them face to face.

After exchanging numbers, Reagan invited Lauren to his hometown of Lake Jackson, Texas. Despite their busy coaching schedules, they made time for each other, alternating weekends to see one another and nurturing a love that grew with each shared experience.

The proposal was a New Year’s Day surprise, with Reagan casually suggesting a visit to the Rose Emporium. Sensing something special was on the horizon, Lauren eagerly agreed. Upon arrival, they discovered it was closed—a clever ruse on Reagan’s part. Instead, he guided her to Old Baylor Hill, where, beneath a scenic archway, he dropped to one knee and proposed. Lauren said yes, and the two celebrated with photos before reuniting with family and friends waiting to toast their engagement.

Lauren envisioned a traditional wedding with a soft, neutral color scheme—delicate shades of pink, beige, and white woven into the decor. The aim was to keep things classic and timeless, ensuring the couple could look back on their photos for years to come without a hint of regret.

Adding personal touches was important to Lauren. She created custom hats for guests with fun phrases like "We’re the Millers" and "It’s Miller Time." Another unique touch was a wedding magazine, where she shared their story, proposal details, and future honeymoon plans—a hit with guests and a memento the couple will cherish forever.

The welcome sign was a labor of love, crafted from a 4x8-foot plywood sheet painted and lime-washed for a rustic look, with letters reading “Here today, together forever. Welcome to the wedding of Reagan and Lauren.”

The morning of the wedding was filled with excitement. Lauren’s bridesmaids joined her in the bridal suite, where they sipped champagne, shared laughs, and listened to music. When Lauren’s mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law joined them, it became a meaningful gathering of the women who had shaped her life.

One of the biggest surprises of the day came from a bridesmaid who gifted Lauren with a videographer, knowing she hadn’t planned on having one. The gesture brought tears to her eyes, capturing moments she’ll be able to relive for a lifetime.

Finally, the time arrived for Lauren to walk down the aisle. As she made her way to Reagan, the excitement was palpable. The ceremony, held at Camp Hosea’s chapel with beautiful natural lighting streaming in, was everything she had dreamed of. Surrounded by friends and family, they exchanged vows and began their journey as husband and wife.

After the ceremony, a cocktail hour and reception followed, filled with heartfelt speeches, laughter, and dancing. In a tender moment, Lauren dedicated her bouquet to her mother instead of tossing it—a symbolic gesture of love and gratitude. Once the dance floor opened, everyone joined in, and Lauren, true to her fun-loving nature, even did the worm three times in her wedding dress!

One of the most cherished moments came at the end of the night when Lauren and Reagan shared a last private dance together. With no one else around, they swayed to the music, Lauren’s head resting on Reagan’s shoulder, feeling the peace and joy of their new life together.

For Lauren and Reagan, Camp Hosea was the ideal venue. They were immediately drawn to its stunning chapel and reception space, along with the team’s warmth and dedication to bringing their vision to life. From the very beginning, Camp Hosea’s staff went above and beyond to ensure the couple’s day was nothing short of perfect.
